The Route
We have built this half-marathon route to be challenging, fun and beautiful. We like to think of it as a love letter to Vancouver. The course is also incredibly dynamic. From the Douglas Fir trees and Pacific Ocean views in Stanley Park to the city-of-glass scene in False Creek, the SeaWheeze is engineered to showcase the beauty and vibrancy of Vancouver. The course is also designed to keep you on your toes, with hills to test your resilience and plenty of flat and downhill terrain to bring out your inner speed demon. Come and see why the West Coast is the best coast!
Route Information
We’ve updated the running route for SeaWheeze 2013 and we’ve included an elevation chart so you can explore all the ups and downs. Outside of a few other minor changes, the route is the same beautiful 21 kms of West Coast magic. Those of you who ran SeaWheeze 2012 will be happy to hear that you won’t have to run up the hill on West 4th this year (you’re welcome).

What to Expect
You’ll have to do all the running but we are here to support you all the way. We are committed to your hydration and on-course nutrition needs so we’ll have plenty of aid stations and water stations along the route. Exact locations will be released prior to the event. We will also have medical support, toilets, and hugs ready and waiting.
You can also look forward to mermaids, Mounties, bears and maybe even a little drag queen action. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open! You won’t want to miss out.

Start Location
The start and finish line are located at the Vancouver Convention Centre. In May, we will have a more detailed map of the start corrals. This will help you decide how and when to line up with 10,014 of your new friends on the morning of August 10th.
We will be releasing you in waves based on your estimated finish time.
