Half Marathon

Race Day Details

Everything participants need to know from warm-up and corral entry to post-race celebrations and recovery.

Start Line

Hastings St at Hornby St

Join the pre-race stretch on Jack Poole Plaza at 6:00 AM and be in your assigned corral at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start.

Finish Line

Pender St at Bute St

Cross the finish line in downtown Vancouver and head straight into post-race celebrations and recovery activities.

Participants should arrive early and be in their assigned corrals 30 minutes prior to the official start.

Turn-by-Turn Highlights

The SeaWheeze Half Marathon takes runners on a tour through some of Vancouver’s most iconic neighbourhoods and waterfront corridors, combining downtown energy, ocean views, seawall running, and community cheer zones throughout the course.

Start Line + Downtown Core

Runners begin on Hastings Street near Hornby Street before heading east through the downtown core toward Gastown and the waterfront.

False Creek + Olympic Village

The route travels south along False Creek through Olympic Village, offering long waterfront stretches, city skyline views, and high-energy spectator zones.

Kitsilano Waterfront

Runners continue west through Kitsilano and along the waterfront, with open views across English Bay and the North Shore mountains.

English Bay + Stanley Park

The course loops through English Bay and Stanley Park, featuring scenic seawall running, ocean air, and some of the most iconic views on the course.

Coal Harbour + Finish Line

The final kilometres bring runners back through Coal Harbour and downtown Vancouver before finishing near the Convention Centre in the heart of the SeaWheeze celebration.

Course FAQs

What Is The Course Cut Off Time?

The official course cut off time is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Are Strollers Allowed On Course?

No. Strollers are not permitted on course for participant safety.

What Support Will Be Available On Course?

The course will feature 7 aid stations with water and XACT electrolytes throughout, plus XACT gels at one location. Cheer stations will also be positioned along the route with additional details shared closer to race day.

Will I Be Assigned To A Corral?

Yes. Runners will be assigned to one of four corrals before race day based on projected finishing time. Corral assignments will be shared at bib pick up, and each wave will receive a specific start time at or shortly after the official 7:00am race start.

Is There A Pre-Race Warm Up?

Yes. A pre-race warm up will take place on Jack Poole Plaza before runners head to their assigned corrals.

Will There Be Gear Check?

Yes. Gear check will be available inside the Vancouver Convention Centre starting at 5:15am. All runners must check bags using the race-issued bag tag provided at bib pick up.
